In recognition of her outstanding success in captivating first and second year medical students with innovative and original learning concepts, Dr. Andrea Link receives this year´s teaching award for early career scientists from Friedrich-Alexander-Universität (FAU). Congratulations! Specifically, Andrea devised clever and irresistible strategies to fire students up about the intricacies of the nervous system. Rather than throwing standard textbook contents at a largely irreceptive audience, she passionately seduced students to jump-start their own mental faculties, figuring out by and for themselves the basic scientific principles of how brain and body work. This is the kind of learning that lasts.
